Admission Requirements

  • Completion of (at least) a 3-year Bachelor Degree froma recognised university with a major in computing or information technology or completion of the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management or equivalent.
  • Required proficiency in English (IELTS Band score 6.0 and no band less than 5.5)

Course Overview

The Master of Information Technology Management Studies is specifically for those with a background in IT or computing who aspire to be IT managers and require an understanding of the strategic management of IT resources within IT departments and organisations.

On completion of this course graduates should be able to:

  • plan, manage and develop the organisational use and uptake of information technology;
  • contribute at a professional level in the application of information technology to support business organisations;
  • manage the impact of technology in organisations;
  • recognise threats and opportunities of technology in business;
  • use a range of effective communication strategies.

Career Opportunities

Graduates could expect to work in any area of industry, commerce or government in ICT strategic management or project management roles.

The course is one and half year full-time and consists of twelve units providing theoretical and practical skills in information technology management.

Exit Points:
Students can exit with a Graduate Certificate of Information Technology Management after the successful completion of the first semester.
Students can exit with a Graduate Diploma of Information Technology Management after the successful completion of the first two semesters.
