Admission Requirements

  • Completion of (at least) a 3-year Bachelor Degree froma recognised university with a major in computing or information technology or completion of the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management or equivalent.
  • Required proficiency in English (IELTS Band score 6.0 and no band less than 5.5)

Course Overview

The Master of Information Technology Management is designed specifically for those with a background in IT or computing who aspire to be IT managers, and require an understanding of the strategic management of IT resources within IT departments and organisations.

On completion of this course graduatesv should:

  • undertstand the importance of and interrelationships among technology, management and strategy;
  • be able to discuss the management issues surrounding new and emerging technologies;
  • be able to implement strategies for managing IT project change;
  • have developed appropriate project management principles and techniques;
  • be able to familiarise yourself with the latest developments in information technology;
  • show an awarenewss of ethics and social implications in information technology;
  • value the importance of IT project management within a business environment; and
  • be able to use a range of effective communication strategies.

Career Opportunities

Graduates could expect to work in any area of industry, commerce or government in ICT strategic management or project management roles.

You may be eligible to exit the program after the successful completion of 12 specified units and be awarded the Master of Information
Technology Management Studies.
